Stray Kids made a stunning appearance as performers at the “American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special,” held on October 6 in Los Angeles, showcasing their global presence as a leading boy band.
As the second K-pop group to perform at the AMAs, following BTS, Stray Kids delivered a memorable stage commemorating 50 years of iconic boy bands. They shared the spotlight with legendary groups such as New Edition, Boyz II Men, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and One Direction, all celebrated through a special video montage. Stray Kids was introduced on stage by NSYNC's Lance Bass and A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys.
The group performed their latest mini-album's title track, “Chk Chk Boom,” which marked their third entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and achieved five consecutive number one albums on the Billboard 200. Their performance included a unique arrangement featuring parts of NSYNC’s classic hit “Bye Bye Bye,” making it a one-of-a-kind experience for viewers. Following their performance, NSYNC's official social media channels shared a crossover edit of both groups' renditions, expressing their honor in showcasing Stray Kids’ marionette moment.
Stray Kids has solidified their reputation by winning Top K-Pop Album at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards and Best K-Pop at the 2023 VMAs. Their recent mini-album “ATE,” released on July 19, became the best-selling K-pop album in the U.S. in 2024, reaffirming their popularity.
Currently on their largest world tour, “Stray Kids World Tour <dominATE>,” they have already performed in various cities, with upcoming shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and multiple locations across Asia, further connecting with their fans around the globe.
